September is National Pain Awareness Month

September is National Pain Awareness Month. To help bring awareness to the problem of undertreated pain, Rebecca will be joining other health care professionals, pain management experts, and pain sufferers for Pain Advocacy Day at the state capital, Wednesday, September 13. Following a 10 am proclamation signing ceremony at the Governor's office, the group collaborative will host a "greet and eat" event with Missouri legislators and will be on hand to provide free information and answers questions about pain.

Pain Advocacy Day is only one of many activities in September planned to raise awareness of the epidemic of undertreated pain in Missouri. For more a more complete list, visit the Missouri Pain Initiative website at http://www.missouripain.org/
